College Football - Sooners Did Great
It did my heart good to see the Sooners do great against Florida State. I feel better about the season than after Utah State. Now, the question is how will they do on the road? I feel optimistic and for good reason.
Excited, today Sam Bradford starts his pro career with the Rams. A trip to St. Louis may be in order.
My next thought is what is up with University of Kansas?! A 6-3 at home loss against North Dakota State to start the season, I didn’t even know there was a North Dakota State. This week they beat Georgia Tech and handle them quite easily. Don’t what to make of Turner Gill yet.
Finally, Virginia Tech loses to James Madison U. That hurts Boise State, especially if Virginia Tech continues their losing way and Oregon State has their usual slow season start. Their next big opponent is Oregon State and O-State has already lost to TCU, another BCS busting hopeful. So, Boise State would want to beat Oregon State and that would have the Beavers with at least two losses going into their conference play. Plus, Oregon State ends the season against USC, Stanford, and Oregon. I could see OSU ending the season at .500.
Funny, Boise State’s next opponent is Wyoming, probably a sure win, who has a tougher schedule than Boise State. Wyoming is playing Texas, TCU, and Utah in addition to Boise State. Off-season BSU was saying they were having problems scheduling tough opponents, no one wanted to play them. That may be, but they are going to have to do something to get a tougher schedule. Change conferences or go independent, because this powder puff schedule is keeping them from being taken seriously.
